Roly Maden is a Cuban dancer, choreographer, and musician born on March 1, 1971, in Havana, Cuba. He began studying dance in Cuban schools at the age of 11, training in genres ranging from classical and contemporary dance to traditional Cuban styles. He eventually moved to Italy, where he teaches traditional Caribbean dance and folklore, including salsa, son, mambo, afro-rumba, and chachachá.
As a recording artist, singer, and producer, Maden’s musical catalog focuses primarily on timba and salsa. His recording career includes a consistent stream of singles starting with "Timbateate" in 2010 and "Le Va a Doler" in 2013. He continued releasing music throughout the 2010s, with tracks such as "Sandungueo" (2015), "Timba Cubana" (2015), "Loca Tú" (2016), "Mirala" (2017), and "Esto Que Cosa Es" (2019).
Maden has maintained his musical activity into the 2020s. His later releases include the singles "Sabrosura" in 2020, "Timbeando" in 2022, "Timba y Sandunguita" in 2023, and "Rumba Picante" in 2024.
