Based in Italy, Ciclón Cubano is a timba and salsa group formed by founder Alfredo Flores Del Sol (known as Fredy-J) and Ernesto Planas. Prior to establishing the group, Flores Del Sol worked as a guitarist, composer, and singer for notable Cuban ensembles such as Manolín "El Médico de la Salsa" and Paulito FG y su Elite. Planas contributes to the project as a singer, composer, dancer, choreographer, and entertainer.
The group's discography dates back to 2008 with the release of the album Dimelo Ya and the single De Que Llego Llego. Over the following years, they released the compilation La Nina Quiere in 2010 and the single No Estás in 2012. Ciclón Cubano has continued to release music over the years, including the single El Boom Boom in 2014 and the single Vuelve in 2025.
