Poderosa Latin Orchestra (also known as La Poderosa Latin Orchestra) is a salsa and timba music project closely associated with the Sicilian pianist, vocalist, and arranger Massimo Scalici. Scalici, who also co-founded projects like La Maxima 79 and La Sabrosa Siciliana, plays a central musical role in the orchestra's recordings and arrangements.
In 2017, the label ALOSIBLA released the double-disc album "Greatest Hits", which highlighted Scalici's contributions to the orchestra's repertoire. The orchestra's sound is designed to appeal to both social dancers and Latin music listeners.
Over the years, the group has collaborated with prominent figures in the Latin dance scene, including choreographer and dancer Fernando Sosa, who wrote the lyrics for their 2021 single "Salsanamà ". The orchestra has also released various singles, such as "Un Dia" (2020), "I Don’t Care (Salsa Version)" (2022), "Amor Divino" (2024), and "Estoy Solo" (2025).
