Orquesta Salsa Timba y Son was founded in 2011 by a former engineer who had previously performed with orchestras such as Arecibo 2000 and Son de la Vega. Associated with Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, the orchestra was established to merge traditional and modern tropical music styles, bridging the gap between classic salsa dura, contemporary timba, and traditional son elements.
The group released its debut album, "Sin Prisa Pero Sin Pausa," in 2014, securing local cultural recognition. They continued their output with the single "Quiero Dormir Cansado" in 2017 and their sophomore album, "Adelante, Siempre Adelante," in 2018.
In subsequent years, the orchestra maintained a steady release schedule with singles such as "Con Rabito Pago Ivu" in 2020 and "Eternamente Enamorado" in 2024. In 2025, they released the single "Mal Interno," a track characterized by its modern timba arrangements, traditional Cuban son structures, and classic salsa rhythms.
