
Orquesta La Identidad is a Colombian salsa group founded in 1981 by Carlos Enrique Navio in Cali, Colombia. Composed of its founder and a rotating lineup of talented musicians, the orchestra established itself as one of Colombia's highly recognized salsa ensembles on both national and international levels. Throughout its career, the group has won the prestigious "Disco de la Feria de Cali" award on multiple occasions and received two nominations for Best Salsa Orchestra at the Sebastián de Belalcázar awards.
The orchestra's international footprint includes performances at notable events such as the Independence of Guayaquil festival in Ecuador. Orquesta La Identidad has maintained a steady output of recordings, including the 2021 studio albums "Identidad" and "Profesión Salsa". Their single releases span several decades of activity, featuring tracks such as "Quiéreme" (2020), "Como Yo Te Ame" (2021), "A Mi Padre" (2022), "Guayaquil" (2023), "Por Siempre Ella" (2024), and 2025 releases including "Mujeres", "Desengaños", and "Colombia En Paz".
