Kamankola is a Cuban musical project founded in early 2009 by singer, songwriter, and rapper Jorge "Jorgito" Lian García Díaz. Raised in the El Cerro neighborhood of Havana, Cuba, García Díaz grew up influenced by a diverse mix of rock, rap, traditional trova, and popular Cuban music. In Cuba, he was a member of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS) before later relocating to Miami, Florida.

Known for blending urban rap with trova and poetry, Kamankola's music frequently reflects on personal struggles, exile, and social and political realities in Cuba. He has collaborated with several prominent Cuban artists, including Amaury Gutiérrez, Albita Rodríguez, and Boris Larramendi.

Kamankola's music catalog spans genres such as trova and nueva trova. Between 2024 and 2025, he released a steady succession of singles, including "LIBERTAD", "Mentira", "No Hay Cuba Libre", "Maten al loco", "I Have to Go", "Coronando", "MEDLEY NORTHWEST EDITION", and "La Piñata" in 2024, followed by "MADRES", "Revolución del Amor", "Bala contra Bala", and "En Alguna Parte" in 2025.
