LPT is a ten-piece salsa dura orchestra based in the Riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 2015, the band comprises a four-piece horn section, a three-piece percussion section, bass, keyboards, and lead vocals. Utilizing traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms, the group performs high-energy salsa dura, descargas, mambo, rumba, and guaguancó, earning comparisons to contemporary Latin ensembles like Grupo Fantasma and Bio Ritmo.
The group began releasing recorded music in 2019, debuting with the single Llegamos and the single Sin Parar, which preceded their 2020 debut album of the same name. They followed this in 2021 with the album and single Se Quema El Mundo. LPT's repertory also includes tracks like Mala Mentira and Los Bravos.
In 2025, LPT expanded their catalog with a series of singles, including Ella Quiere Café, Fuego, Todos Nacimos Buenos, Congrí, Don't Let No One Get You Down, and Los Anteojos. The band continues to perform and record, showcasing their specific blend of traditional and modern Latin music.
