Orquesta La Nueva Familia de Braulio Jamaica is a salsa orchestra from Mexico City with an artistic career spanning over forty years. The group represents the musical legacy of its namesake, Don Braulio Jamaica, a heritage honored with their 2022 release Contemposalsa: En memoria a Don Braulio Jamaica.
Throughout their decades of performance, the orchestra has built a reputation as a backing band, accompanying major tropical music figures such as Celia Cruz and Oscar D'León. They have also shared stages with internationally prominent salsa acts, including El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, La Sonora Ponceña, Frankie Ruiz, Cuco Valoy, and Orquesta Guayacán.
Remaining active in the recording studio, the orchestra celebrated their milestone history with the 2023 single release No se va (40 Aniversario). This was followed by a series of new releases, including the single Cuando llegue and the album Con ritmo y sabor in 2024, as well as the 2025 album Pasión Mexicana.
