Salsaone is the artistic name of Sergio Luis Rojas, a Costa Rican composer, producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist based in San Ramón, Costa Rica. Active in the recording industry since 2014, Rojas launched the Salsaone project with a series of singles in 2015, including "Son a Mi Puerto", "Mi Tierra", "Salseros de Corazón", "Soy una Extensión de Ti", and "Vagabundo". His musical productions often incorporate elements of swing, tropical, and national folklore styles, followed by subsequent releases like "Swing Criollo" in 2016 and "Volveras" in 2018.
In 2025, Salsaone released the album "La Salsa De Costa Rica", a production that spent ten years in development. The record showcases collaborations with several international guest artists, including Dutch trumpeter Maite Hontelé, Peruvian trumpeter Dante Vargas, Costa Rican trumpeter Ernesto Núñez, Cuban trombonist Jorge Dobal, and Venezuelan artist Mauricio Silva. The album release was supported by the 2025 single "Peligro De Extinción".
