Azultrabuco is a Colombian urban music ensemble formed in 2005 in Bogotá. The group was founded by musicians from various regions of Colombia with diverse musical backgrounds in jazz, classical music, rock, and folklore. The ensemble is known for its fusion of traditional Afro-Latin rhythms, blending salsa, cumbia, cha-cha-chá, and boogaloo with Latin jazz and free jazz.
Over the years, the group has established a presence in the Colombian festival circuit with several notable live performances. In 2007, Azultrabuco performed at the Festival Jazz al Parque and opened for Brazilian artist Toquinho at the Festival Internacional de Jazz del Teatro Libre. They returned to the Teatro Libre's international jazz festival in 2010 as the opening act for legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea. The band has also performed within the salsa community, including an appearance at the Salsa al Parque festival's first collectors' meeting in 2009.
Azultrabuco's catalog includes the 2016 album "Calle Caliente." Throughout the following decade, the group released a series of singles, including "Nada" in 2022, "Prende Mi Candela" in 2024, and "Buena Vibra" in 2026, alongside their single release "Sandunguera ?El Callegueso?."
