Ramón Orlando Valoy García, born on July 29, 1959, is a Dominican musician, singer, arranger, composer, record producer, and pianist. He began his professional music career performing in the band of his father, Cuco Valoy. In the mid-1980s, he departed his father's group to establish his own ensemble, initially known as Los Virtuosos and later renamed Ramón Orlando y la Orquesta Internacional, working alongside vocalists Peter Cruz and Henry García.
Orlando's work primarily spans the merengue and salsa genres. In 1992, he received seven Casandra Awards, including the Soberano, the highest honor at the Dominican awards ceremony. He also earned a Latin Grammy Award nomination in 2005 under the Best Merengue Album category.
Orlando has remained active as a recording artist, with releases in the catalog spanning from 1992 through 2025. His recent output includes the 2024 singles 'Esquizofrenica' and a remastered version of 'El Venao.' In 2025, he released the instrumental album 'Pistas Musicales: Música Cristiana (Instrumental),' alongside several singles including 'Voy Pa'Lla,' 'Gracias Por Existir,' 'En La Oscuridad,' and 'Volveré.'
