Nelson "Nell" Álvarez is a salsa singer who was born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico. He began exploring music at an early age, drawing primary inspiration from his father and traditional string trios. He ultimately established his musical career based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Active in the contemporary salsa and timba genres, Álvarez began releasing solo singles in 2023 with "Sin Tu Amor." He followed this with several 2024 releases, including "Como Puede Ser," "Te Necesito," and the holiday track "Debajo El Arbolito" (also recognized as "De Bajo El Arbolito"). His catalog also features the 2025 singles "Uno Para Siempre" and "Deja Tu Corazón," as well as the 2026 release, "Esta Vez."
