DJ El Güero, whose real name is Richard Linnell, is a salsa DJ, music collector, event promoter, and recording artist based in Portland, Oregon. He is an active organizer in the Pacific Northwest music scene, serving as a co-founder and administrator of regional music initiatives including Cobeatparty. As a DJ, he has played at events internationally across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Spain.
In 2025, DJ El Güero released his album "Mi Locura Artística," launched on July 7, 2025. The production was conceived as an homage to classic salsa (salsa clásica), emphasizing traditional rhythms and arrangements created specifically for dancers. That same year, he also released the studio album "Desde Mi Punto de Vista."
