Sergio Múnera is a Colombian bassist, producer, and musician born in 1971 in Bello, Antioquia. He began his musical education at the age of 14, learning to play the guitar, tiple, and bandola within a family ensemble. Over his career, Múnera has performed as a bassist with several of salsa's most prominent orchestras and artists, including Grupo Niche, Grupo Galé, Oscar D'León, Rey Ruiz, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, and Sonora Carruseles.
As a solo artist and producer, Múnera's contemporary work occupies the salsa and timba genres. In 2024, he released the singles "Intro", "Solos Tu y Yo", and "Cuando Florezcan Las Amapolas". He followed these in 2025 with the single "Cuando Te Vea", a collaboration featuring Venezuelan vocalist Marcial Istúriz.
