Tania Matus is a singer, composer, and songwriter born and raised in Mexico City. She began her formal musical training at the DIM music school, focusing on vocal performance. Having developed an interest in different musical styles from an early age, she began her career as a composer at age 25, followed by the release of her first single. Her style blends romantic bolero and bohemian influences, leading her to perform at jazz and world music festivals across Mexico and tour under her 'Protagonista' project.
Active in recording since 2018, Matus's discography includes the 2023 singles 'Agonía' and 'La vida no quiso'. In 2024, she released a series of tracks including 'Farol', 'Y Si Te Enseño... 'Boleros'', 'Jugamos A Querernos', 'Extraño', and 'El Pecho Sabe A Quien Querer'. This was followed in 2025 by the singles 'Tangos de Amor', 'Agua de Coco', 'Mango', and 'Licor'. In 2026, she released the album 'La Receta', celebrating its launch with a live orchestral performance at the historic Salón Los Ángeles in the Guerrero neighborhood of Mexico City.
