Orquesta La Muralla is a Puerto Rican salsa orchestra based in Rochester, New York. The ensemble was founded in 1969 by bassist Miguel "Mike" Rosario with the assistance of lead singer and composer Johnny Vega. Under Rosario's leadership, the orchestra became one of the most enduring Latin music groups in Upstate New York, performing for over five decades. Rosario led the band until his death in 2025, after which the group's management was succeeded by its timbalero.
Throughout its history, the orchestra has released multiple recordings, including the 1995 album "A Ritmo de Merengue" and the 2011 compilation "The Best of Orquesta la Muralla". In 2024, the group collaborated with Johnny Vega on the single "Como Me La Pida" (also formatted as "Como Me La Pides" and "Como Me Lo Pida"), released through Hyperopia Records. The orchestra followed this with the release of the album "Como Me La Pides" in 2025, coinciding with the group's 56th anniversary.
