
Victor Samalot is a Puerto Rican instrumental guitarist, composer, and arranger based in Cleveland, Ohio. His musical style blends elements of Latin music, jazz, rock, and world fusion, incorporating live looping and improvisation. Before beginning his career as a solo artist, Samalot was a co-founder of the rock fusion group Rare Blend, performing with the band from 1994 to 2010.
Samalot launched his solo catalog with his self-titled debut album, "Victor Samalot," in 2011. He subsequently released the holiday singles "Felices Fiestas" in 2014 and "Spirit of Christmas" in 2016. In 2017, he released his second album, "Esperanza," which featured his own original compositions and arrangements, alongside the single "Dance Champa."
His later releases include the 2020 singles "La Chica Bonita" and a rendition of "Speak Softly, Love (Love Theme from 'The Godfather')." In 2025, Samalot released the singles "Que Chilero" and "Latin Groove." He continues to perform active live sets throughout the Cleveland and Akron, Ohio regions.
