José Alexander Cadena Saavedra, known professionally as Alex Rebambaramba, is a Colombian percussionist, composer, and bandleader. Born in Cali and raised in Bogotá, he initially developed his career as a session musician, music educator, and backing instrumentalist in the Colombian capital. Over the years, he has performed alongside established salsa artists such as José Mangual Jr. and Yuri Buenaventura.
As a bandleader, he directs Alex Rebambaramba y su orquesta, performing a style that incorporates urban themes, traditional salsa, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. His work as a composer and percussionist emphasizes a strong rhythmic foundation and a distinct personal sound.
His recording catalog includes several singles released under the genre of timba. He debuted with "EL SONIDO DEL BARRIO" in 2020, followed by the single "REVOLUCIONANDO" in 2021. His subsequent releases include "SE NOS ROMPIÒ EL AMOR" in 2023 and the single "¿ Que está pasando ?" in 2025.
