Coco Garcia was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. He began his musical development at the age of seven, performing alongside his father, Eligio Garcia, a Venezuelan harpist, and competing in local school singing competitions. Based in salsa, Latin jazz, and Afro-Cuban traditions, he later established himself as an independent artist and the leader of the Rumba Libre Latin Band.
During the 2020 pandemic, Garcia recorded his debut studio album, Salsa Eros, which was released in March 2021. The production featured collaborations with industry figures, including percussionist Robert Vilera. Prior to the album's release, Garcia initiated his solo catalog with the 2020 singles "Acariciame" and "Amarte Asi".
Following his debut album, Garcia continued releasing singles in the mambo and salsa genres. His subsequent releases included "Probablemente" and "Christmas Is Coming" in 2022, followed by "Mambo with Coco" in 2023. In 2025, he expanded his discography with the singles "Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos", "Ain't No Sunshine", and "Just the Way You Are".
