
Venezuelan salsa singer Armando Davalillo was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He began his career at an early age in the local music scene, participating in regional groups such as Pimenton's Band and La Tropa Loca, playing traditional styles like gaita and tropical music.
Davalillo achieved wider recognition as a member of the prominent Venezuelan salsa group Adolescentes Orquesta. Under the direction of Porfi Baloa, he performed on notable hits for the group, including Virgen and Se acabo el amor.
As a solo artist, Davalillo has pursued a style often characterized as salsa pop, blending traditional salsa structures with contemporary pop elements. He established his solo discography with the 2014 album Te Quedaras. In the following years, he released a series of singles and live recordings, including En Las Nubes (2019), Quiero Morir en Tu Veneno (2020), and his live projects Armando Davalillo (Live in Orlando), Pt.1 (2021) and Live in Orlando, Pt. 2 (2022). His later solo work includes the singles Mentira (2024), Renuncio (Llanera) (2024), and Por Que Te Fuiste (2026).
