Orquesta La Puntualidad is a 12-piece salsa and Latin jazz ensemble formed in 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland. The group was established around the compositions of Chilean trumpeter Manuel Ibarra. Based at the Association pour la Musique de Recherche (AMR) in Geneva, the band was initially conceived to play classic salsa repertory before developing their own original material and issuing an eight-track demo in 2017.
The group is closely tied to Geneva's PĆ¢quis neighborhood, which they affectionately refer to as "La RepĆŗblica Tropical de PĆ¢quis." This moniker inspired the title of their 2020 album. Their discography also includes the albums "El Combo de los Secuaces" (2018) and "Puntualidad Con Calidad" (2023), alongside singles such as "El Barrio" in 2022, and "Mi Medicina" and "Hombre Humilde" in 2023.
