La Pambelé is a contemporary salsa dura and salsa brava group based in Bogotá, Colombia. Formed during the COVID-19 pandemic in the city's Chapinero and Teusaquillo neighborhoods, the band consists of musicians who transitioned to salsa after performing in local rock and pop acts. Inspired by the classic salsa eras of the 1960s and 1970s, the ensemble opted for traditional production techniques for their early work, capturing their instrumentation live and tracking directly to analog tape.
The group entered the music scene with their debut album, "1er Round", in 2021, showcasing a style that blends vintage aesthetics with modern thematic concepts. Through their music, they address urban narratives and themes of cultural identity. In 2024, the band released their sophomore album, "Nací Mestizo", alongside several singles including "Perdí Mi Corazón", "Amargura", "Tás! Asusta'o", and "La Pambelé x CLOUD Sounds".
