Alma Del Barrio is a Colombian salsa group founded by musician Sammir Varela, who relocated from the Chocó region to Bogotá to form the orchestra. The group initiated its recording career in the early 1990s, releasing its debut album in 1993.
Over the following decades, the group maintained its presence in the salsa genre with releases such as the 2018 album De la Mano de Jairo Varela. Their discography also features numerous singles, including Amarte Lo Soñé (2009), Mi Bogotá Bonita (2015), Sueño Enamorarte (2019), Viviendo de Prisa (Salsa) (2024), and En Mi Mesa Hay Un Plato (2026).
