Barbara Zamora Vargas is a Cuban singer specializing in son cubano, timba, and salsa. She graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana, Cuba, with a specialization in Choral Conducting. In 1992, she was recruited by the prominent Cuban all-female orchestra Anacaona, with whom she performed at numerous international music festivals.
Throughout her career, Zamora has collaborated with various artists and ensembles. In September 2022, she performed at the Connecticut Salsa Festival alongside fellow vocalists Cita Rodriguez and Victoria Sanabria. She has also appeared as a guest vocalist with Cotó and its Changüisera, and performed in jazz venues such as Scullers Jazz Club alongside her niece, pianist Zahili Gonzalez Zamora, and saxophonist Yosvany Terry.
As a solo recording artist, Zamora released the album "Mi entrega" in 2022. Her other vocal credits include featured performances on tracks such as "Me Quedo Gozando" and "Homenaje a Chito Latamblé."
