Jaime Ramos, known artistically as Jai Ramos, is a Puerto Rican salsa singer born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, who grew up between San Juan and Carolina. Before pursuing music professionally, Ramos served in the military. His early musical roots were shaped by romantic ballad and bolero artists, with key influences including Danny Rivera, Lucecita Benítez, Chucho Avellanet, Lissette, Los Hispanos, Marco Antonio Muñiz, and Nino Bravo. He eventually transitioned to salsa music, blending Caribbean rhythms with his early vocal influences.
He emerged as a solo salsa recording artist in 2022 with the releases of "Canción de El Caribe," "Lo Que Dios Me Dio," and "Seguimos Como el Leon: Tributo a Angel Santos." Ramos maintained a consistent release schedule over the following years, putting out the single "Oye Bien" in 2023, followed by "Como Mi Madre Ninguna" and the seasonal track "Trulla Navideña" in 2024. In 2025, he expanded his discography with the singles "Soñando Con Puerto Rico" and "Para El Sonero Del Pueblo."
