Laya Kalima is a singer, songwriter, and musician born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She developed an interest in the arts at an early age, learning to play the guitar at eight years old and subsequently writing her own original compositions.
In October 2022, Kalima released her debut EP, Agridulce, which established her blend of Caribbean rhythms and modern urban sounds. Her discography includes collaborations such as "MarĂa la Mala" featuring urban artist Brray, which bridges reggaeton and Caribbean salsa. Over the next several years, she released a series of independent singles, including "que rica" in 2022, and "ImaginĂĄndote" and "Buscando Amor?" in 2023.
Kalima remained active into 2024 and 2025, releasing a consecutive string of singles, including "Puesto", "SĂ© que Vuelves", "TatĂș", "UNA VIDA CONTIGO", "Sin Ti", "Apunta Y Dispara", "La Ășltima?...", and "La Bori".
