The Afro-Caribbean Jazz Collective is a Latin jazz ensemble based in Illinois. The group was formed in 2017 by guitarist Jose Guzman during his graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Performing regularly around Central Illinois, the ensemble builds its repertoire on Guzman's musical heritage, blending traditional Puerto Rican rhythms with elements of modern jazz.
The collective began releasing recorded material in 2019 with their self-titled single. Over the following years, their catalog expanded with releases such as Live at Rose Bowl and Descarga 2 (En Vivo) in 2023, as well as the single Orchard Downs in 2025. Their 2024 release, Fiesta at Caroga (En Vivo), charted on JazzWeek's Top 100 Jazz Albums of 2024.
