Víctor Alexander Quintana Rojas was born on October 27, 1977 in the city of San Francisco, California, USA.
Son of parents from Caracas, his father Víctor F. Quintana and his mother Esther Xiomara Rojas. He grew up in various places in the world such as Caracas, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, New York and New Jersey.
He began trombone studies in Caracas and upon arriving in New York he continued these studies with the trombonist Leopoldo Pineda.
In 1998 he got his first opportunity to be part a band “Latin Conection” from Queens, later on he began to play congas and developed the ability to play and sing at the same time empirically.
In that same year he worked as a Band Boy for “El Conjunto Clásico”.
He was part of different local bands such as Orlando Oquendo, Pablo Pérez Proyect, Mauricio Smith Jr.'s Típica Novel and Papo Pepín y su Orquesta.
In 2007 he made his first recording as part of “Swing Callejero” where he composed and performed the song “Te Sigo Amando” and placed it in sixth place among the top ten on online radio and also sings the songs “Dame la Oportunidad” and “Swing Callejero” that were broadcast in Colombia and Spain.
In 2008 he made his first solo Album called Víctor Quintana “Pa’ que bailen…!!!” where once again he demonstrated his ability to compose in the songs “Para Mi Tierra”, “La Salsa De Hoy y De Ayer” and “No Me Imagino”.
In 2009 he returned to Venezuela forming his own band and taking part as a singer and backing vocalist in the Bacheo orchestras of maestro Alberto Crespo, Joel Uriola y Su Banda, Afrokan, Vielka y Su Tumbao, Erick Francheski, and the Big Band of San Agustin. In 2012 he recorded with Mauricio Silva's El Legado de La Salsa Venezolana.
As a percussionist and backup singer has collaborated with artists such as Nino Segarra , Luisito Carrión, Anthony Cruz, Wilmer Lozano ,Adrián Marchant, Revolución Salsera (the Ex Chiquito Team Band), Ray de La Paz and Mauricio Silva.
As a Director, percussionist and backing vocalist with his band, he has backed up artists such as Tony Rivas, Hildemaro, Pupy Santiago, Ruben Sierra, Erick Francheski, Herman Olivera and Frankie Vásquez.
His most recent collaborations as a backup singer and vocalist have been with artists such as “Son Caracas” by the trombonist and producer Jhosír Córdova, the Cuban trumpeter and producer Papo Márquez, the percussionist Patricio Chino Díaz and the Nueva “Sonora Matancera” where he participated as Vocalist in Medley #1.
In 2024 he recorded with Carlitos Padrón's Rumberos del Callejón on the album “Tributo a Mi Ídolo Willie Rosario” and the release of his new single “Con Todo y Mi Tristeza” is approaching, a song by Mexican singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel, covered in Salsa
