
Marco Antonio Muñiz, professionally known as Marc Anthony, was born on September 16, 1968, in New York City. Raised in East Harlem, the American singer, songwriter, actor, and producer of Puerto Rican descent rose to become the best-selling tropical salsa artist of all time. Over his career, he has sold millions of albums globally and received numerous accolades, including four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and twenty-nine Lo Nuestro Awards.
Since beginning his recording career in 1991, Anthony has released successful music across genres such as salsa, merengue, bachata, and latin pop. In addition to iconic hits like "Vivir Mi Vida," his extensive catalog spans several decades. Alongside his dominant presence in Latin music, he has also established a prominent career as an actor.
Anthony continues to release highly anticipated music, with recent projects including his 2022 album "Pa'lla Voy" and the 2024 album "MUEVENSE."
