El Vikingo de la Salsa, the stage name of German trombonist, composer, and arranger Thorben Schutt, is a performer and musician based in Munich, Germany. Known for his contributions to the European tropical music scene, Schutt has collaborated with notable artists and groups, including Dani J and La Maxima 79. In addition to his core salsa projects, he has also explored Latin jazz, notably through his EP "El CÃrculo De La Vida."
Operating within the genres of salsa, timba, and mambo, his solo discography includes a steady stream of releases. In 2024, he released several singles including "Indiferente," "El Fuego del Trombon," "Ida y Vuelta," "Quemando la Madera," "Ven a Gozar," "Te veo en el Cielo," and "Manidaguaena."
