Calambuco is a Colombian salsa group formed in late 2005 in the capital city of Bogotá. The band began by performing covers of classic salsa repertoire in local Bogotá nightclubs. By the first half of 2006, the orchestra started playing its own material, which was composed by pianist Andrés Felipe Succar.
In 2006, Calambuco released their debut album, "Como en el Barrio". They followed this with their sophomore album, "Rompiendo el Cuero", in 2009. While specializing in salsa, the group's musical style also incorporates genres such as cha cha cha, mambo, and son cubano. After a period without album releases, they put out a series of singles in 2020, including "Salsita Boleta", "Justicia de Plastilina", "Expande el Corazón", and "Bolero en Tiempo de Espera", followed by the single "A mi lado Vos" in 2025.
