Billy Crespo was born on September 5, 1970, in New Jersey and grew up in Hoboken, where he attended primary and secondary school. He first explored his interest in music during the fifth grade by taking trumpet lessons and participating in the school band. He eventually transition to singing, establishing himself as a salsa vocalist and gaining early professional experience performing with the group Los Hermanos Morenos.
In 2015, Crespo launched his solo career with the debut single "The Best That You Can Do." Over the subsequent years, he consistently released salsa tracks, including "Amigo" and "Y Volvere" in 2016, "Love Story" and "Vuelvo a Querer" in 2017, and "Dimelo Delante de Ella" in 2018.
Crespo continued his recording career with a series of singles into the 2020s. His later releases include "Mujer Buena" (2019), "En Armonia" and "Cuanto Te Quiero (Mi Vieja)" (2021), "Tonight I Celebrate My Love" (2022), "Wishing on a Star" (2023), and "Mesero" (2024).
