La Marcha is a 14-piece salsa dura orchestra based in Paris, France. Founded in 2015, the group was established with the support of La Ferme du Buisson, a national stage of Marne-la-Vallée. The band's name references the primary rhythm played by the congas in salsa music, while also symbolizing a march to advocate for the continued existence of large-format orchestras performing socially conscious, contemporary songs.
The ensemble's musical style is deeply rooted in the 1970s New York salsa dura tradition, drawing inspiration from iconic figures such as Eddie Palmieri, Ray Barretto, and Héctor Lavoe. While tracing their lineage to classic Nuyorican salsa, the group avoids geographical clichés, focusing instead on original compositions and a powerful, energetic stage presence.
La Marcha made their recording debut in 2017 with the album Crónica Urbana. They continued their production with the album Mosaico in 2021, followed by the single La Venganza - ZAYKA Remix in 2024. In 2025, the orchestra released their album Ojalá!.
