Kriptony Texeira is a Puerto Rican salsa singer and sonero born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Known for performing salsa, bomba, and plena, Texeira launched his recording career as a solo artist in the early 2020s.
Texeira made his solo debut with the 2021 single "Mi Amiga Especial," written by Ăngel GutiĂ©rrez and arranged by Ponce musician and instructor Julito Alvarado. He followed this in 2023 with the release of his second promotional single, "Mi Cuarentona." Between 2023 and 2024, Texeira expanded his catalog with several singles, including "La Chica Del Traje Rojo," "Vuelo 1328," and "Me EnamorĂ©."
In 2024, Texeira released the album "Sonero De Ponce Para El Mundo." The project blends romantic themes with energetic arrangements, combining modern elements with classic salsa styles. Among the featured tracks on the album is the single "Yo Soy Aquel," written by Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Nelson BermĂșdez.
