Susel Gómez Pérez, professionally known as Susel "La China," is a Cuban vocalist and dancer specializing in timba, changüí, and other traditional Cuban genres. She achieved a landmark milestone in the Cuban music scene by joining the legendary Orquesta Revé (known as El Charangón), where she became the first female lead singer in the orchestra's history.
Known for her dynamic onstage presence that combines singing and dancing, Gómez has also collaborated with other prominent Cuban ensembles, including Pupy y Los Que Son Son, marking her official debut as a songwriter. Her performances have expanded to international salsa and timba circuits, including regular appearances in Lima, Peru.
In 2025, she initiated a new chapter in her career focused on her solo work. This period launched with the release of her timba single "Te Vas."
