
Alex Quin is a Colombian singer and performing artist born in El Charco, Nariño. Growing up in the Pacific region of Colombia, he was deeply influenced by traditional local instrumentation, including the marimba de chonta, tambores, cununos, and guasás. In addition to navigating his music career, Quin also studied law and qualified as a lawyer.
Quin began his musical career by performing covers of traditional Pacific songs, notably paying tribute to the group Herencia de Timbiquí, which heavily inspired his early work. His musical style blends salsa with pop, R&B, and hip-hop. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with diverse international and Colombian acts, including Guayacán Orquesta and Sech.
His recording career includes a series of singles released throughout the early 2020s. Following the release of "Negra" and "KU LO SA (Versión En Español)" in 2022, he issued "SIN COBERTURA" and "SAN ANDRES" in 2023. This was followed by a frequent series of releases in 2024, including "ÁFRICA", "NO LOVE", "San Antonio", "Ohnana Salsa", "Se Va", and "Que Lástima". In 2025, Quin continued his musical output with the singles "Costumbres Salsa" and "Dime Que Si".
