Yolanda Rivera la Dama de la Salsa

Yolanda Rivera, known as "La Dama de la Salsa" and "La Sonera de Ponce," is a Puerto Rican salsa singer born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on June 30, 1951. Her interest in music began during her childhood, having listened to Cuban music since the age of eight. Her desire to pursue singing was triggered by witnessing a performance by the Cuban vocalist Celeste Mendoza in her hometown of Ponce.

With a career spanning over four decades, Rivera has performed on both local and international stages. In March 2024, she released the salsa album "Me Vuelve Loca" (also styled as "Me vuelvo loca").
