Sabor Yembé Orquesta is a salsa orchestra based in Bogotá, Colombia. Founded by trumpeter and composer Javier Roncancio, the group has been a participant in the Colombian salsa scene, famously performing at the city's Salsa al Parque festival as early as 2013. The group's style, often described locally as "salsa rola" in reference to their Bogotá roots, has featured creative contributions from songwriters and musicians including Ivan Avila, Maleja Tapias, and Julian Forero.
The orchestra is recognized for both its original compositions and its unique salsa adaptations of international pop and anime themes. In 2023, they released the single "Vida Goza Con la Yembé" alongside salsa-influenced versions of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" ("Lágrimas en el Cielo") and the Neon Genesis Evangelion theme song ("Ángel Cruel"). The band followed these in 2024 with a salsa cover of "Take on Me." In 2025, the group released the single "Sombras" and the album "Goza Con la Yembé," while also receiving the award for Best Salsa/Cumbia Artist at the MMA 2025.
