Hermes Manyoma y su Orquesta La Ley is a Colombian salsa band from Cali, founded in 1986 by singer, composer, and director Hermes Manyoma. The orchestra was formed alongside a collective of musicians from the regional music scene. In 1987, the group won the Festival de Orquestas de Salsa.
In 1993, Manyoma expanded his musical endeavors by founding the group "Los Soneros de Colombia" alongside artists such as Kike Harvey, Álvaro del Castillo, Wilson Manyoma "Saoko", Piper Pimienta Díaz, and Enrique Estupiñan. This collective toured extensively throughout Colombia and Ecuador.
Performing in the "salsa dura" and "salsa de golpe" styles, Hermes Manyoma y su Orquesta La Ley has continued to record and perform. The group's releases include the 2016 album "La Herencia" and the 2023 single "Volví".
