Isis Rosario Nieves, known professionally as Izis "La Enfermera de la Salsa," is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter, flute player, fashion designer, and United States Army veteran nurse. She began her musical journey at an early age, singing in her church choir and playing the flute, which eventually earned her a scholarship to study music. In addition to her musical and military career, she is also the creator of the fashion brand Cocolawear.
Active in the salsa and cha cha cha genres, her recording catalog includes the 2022 album "La Enfermera Llego" and the 2024 album "A Mi Manera." Her discography is also marked by numerous single releases, such as her salsa-infused covers of "Like a Prayer" (2022) and "My Favorite Things" (2022), as well as original and collaborative tracks like "Dos Mujeres Pal' Mundo" (2023), "Esa Mujer" (2023), and "El Aprendiz (Salsa Version)" (2025).
