Diva La Pimienta is a Colombian singer and songwriter from Santiago de Cali who represents a new generation of Afro-Colombian salsa and timba. She is the daughter of the late Colombian salsa singer Piper Pimienta DÃaz, and her musical career is dedicated to honoring her father's legacy while establishing her own signature style, fusing traditional roots with contemporary sounds.
In 2024, she released "Sombra de un Pasado," a reinterpretation of the 1975 bolero originally recorded by her father with Los Latin Brothers. Produced and arranged by Oscar Iván Lozano (Oilo), the single was included in her EP project "Cuántico," which also featured the track "La Diva de la Rumba."
Her discography from 2024 and 2025 showcases a continuous output of salsa and timba singles, including "Van de la Mano," "Las Caleñas Son Como las Flores," "Tumbador," and "Legado."
