Pedro Omar Brull Irizarry was born on August 28, 1952, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, to parents Omar Brull and Noemí Irizarry. He began his musical career performing as a vocalist with groups such as Orchestra Son and Concepto Latino.
In 1980, bandleader Edwin Morales hired Brull as the lead singer for La Orquesta Mulenze. Brull remained the principal vocalist for the orchestra for 24 years, establishing himself as a key figure in Puerto Rican salsa.
Brull embarked on a solo career in 2005 with the support of Gilberto Santa Rosa, who produced his music under his Camínalo Discos label. As a solo artist, Brull has continued to release salsa albums, including "Estación Candela" in 2008, "A 20 Años De Una Historia" in 2023, and "Revalidando" in 2025.
