Los Conquistadores de la Salsa

Robert Armas y Los Conquistadores de la Salsa was formed in Havana, Cuba, in August 1996 during the rise of the timba genre. After several months of performing in Cuba, the band traveled to Lima, Peru, for a scheduled six-month promotional tour. They ultimately remained in Peru, establishing themselves as a primary representative of the local tropical music scene.

The orchestra's musical style centers on timba and salsa, incorporating elements of Latin jazz, bolero, and son cubano. The group has been continuously active in recording and performing since 1998, building a catalog that spans over two decades under the leadership of director Robert Armas.

In 2025, Los Conquistadores de la Salsa released a series of projects, including the albums Minka (Live Sessions 2025) and Boda 2025 (Live Session). Their 2025 single releases featured tracks such as Aqui el Que Baila Gana, Ta' que Quema (En Vivo), and El Baile del Rico Rico (Remix), alongside genre-blending tracks like Con Otra (Versión Urbana) and Te Veo Fururu Farara (Versión Cumbia).
