Jaime Lozano is a Mexican musical theater composer, lyricist, and instrumentalist native to Monterrey, Mexico. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music and Composition from the School of Music at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, before receiving a full scholarship to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Lozano's work often explores themes of the immigrant experience, drawing from his upbringing in Mexico and subsequent relocation to the United States. He frequently records and performs with his ensemble under the name Jaime Lozano & The Familia. His recording career includes the release of "Una Historia Sin Final" and "A Never-Ending Line (A Female Song Cycle)" in 2019. In 2020, he released the singles "The Other Side," "Hold Tight," "Love Finds a Way," and "Nothing Is Broken," alongside the first volume of his album project, "Songs by an Immigrant."
Lozano subsequently released the single "Present Perfect" in 2021, followed by "Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 2" in 2023. His later work includes the 2024 singles "Go Tell The Reyes" and "Rapsodia a Las Montañas NLYSM," culminating in the release of "Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 3" in 2025.
