Suave Tumbao is a Cuban salsa and timba band formed in Bayamo, Cuba. The orchestra was founded and is directed by the pianist, composer, and arranger Jorge Luis Gómez Navas, also known as El Suave. Before starting the group, Gómez Navas was a co-founder and longtime instrumentalist in Cándido Fabré's band. After two years of preparation, Suave Tumbao made its official public debut in 2009.
Composed of young musical talents, the group's style is characterized by a warm, light timba sound. Their musical approach draws influence from prominent Cuban orchestras like Los Van Van and Pupy y los que Son Son, aiming to deliver a modern sound tailored for dancers.
In recent years, the group has continued to record and release new music. They released the single 'Pa' Que Todo Salga' in 2023, followed by the album 'Pásale la Cuenta' in 2024.
