
Orquesta La Pascasia is a large-format Latin music ensemble based in Medellín, Colombia. Founded in 2016 by Juan Fernando Giraldo, also known as "Guapito," the group features a 23-member big band lineup. They specialize in blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms, salsa, and other tropical styles with big band arrangements.
In 2021, the orchestra released its debut album, "Sin Desamor No Hay Amor". The eight-track record features a selection of classic tangos reinterpreted through various tropical rhythms, including bolero, cumbia, salsa, guaguancó, mambo, and samba.
The group's catalog also includes holiday-themed releases such as the 2018 single "Los Cuentos de la Vieja" and the 2023 album "Navidad de Norte a Sur: Cantoalegre Big Band (En vivo)". In 2024, they released the single "Viento de Agua".
