Ruina Nueva is a salsa urbana group consisting of four Dominican musicians—Yabriel, La Ley, Morel, and Frankelly—based in the Bronx, New York. The group characterizes its style as "salsa urbana," blending traditional tropical rhythms with modern sounds designed to appeal to younger Latin audiences.
Among their early releases are the 2012 singles "Contigo Me Siento Nitido" and the holiday-themed "No le pare en Navidad." In 2013, the group collaborated with the salsa collective Los Adolescentes on the single "Yo La Amo." Expanding their repertoire, they also recorded a bachata track in collaboration with American pop artist Zach Matari.
Ruina Nueva has continued to release music over the subsequent decade, including the 2015 single "Ay Corazon (Radio Version)." Their more recent discography includes the singles "Te Quiero Mucho" in 2024 and "El Player" in 2025.
