Joaquin "Tato" Peña is a Dominican-born sonero and vocalist who moved to Puerto Rico at an early age. Raised on the island, he developed his musical foundation and learned the systems of the clave.
Peña began his career performing as a singer with several established tropical defense bands, including La Convivencia, Willie González y su Orquesta, and Conjunto Chaney.
In his contemporary career, Peña has released numerous solo singles. His catalog includes 2025 releases such as "ELLA Y TU", "LA NOCHE MAS LINDA", "QUIZAS MEREZCO", and "EN RD SIN TÍ", as well as 2026 singles like "Todavia Duele", "TE TRANSFORMAS", and "AMORES SIN SENTIDO".
