The Sons Of Buena Vista is a Cuban musical project dedicated to preserving and revitalizing traditional son cubano and timba. Developed as a legacy initiative honoring the original Buena Vista Social Club, the ensemble features a younger generation of world-class Cuban musicians who grew up alongside original legendary masters of the traditional Cuban format, including Ibrahim Ferrer and Compay Segundo.
The group's catalog spans from 2008 to 2025, launching with the 2008 album "Con Un Poco De Ayuda". Alongside their long-standing performances, they have released singles such as "Somos Los Hijos" and the 2024 single "Copacabana".
Their 2025 album, "Here Come The Sons", represents a celebration of contemporary son cubano. The project brings together several prominent voices in modern Cuban music, featuring collaborations with vocalists Mayito Rivera, El Nene (Pedro Lugo MartÃnez), and William Borrego.
