Jose "JCee" Colon is a Puerto Rican salsa singer, bandleader, and media host based in Miami, Florida. Before launching his career as a recording artist, Colon spent years working within the tropical music industry, serving as a salsa DJ in his youth and later working as a promoter primarily in New York and Puerto Rico. In 2019, he established the group JCee Colon y Zalsa En Control Orchestra, an 8-to-11-member ensemble focused on performing classic 1970s and 1980s New York and Puerto Rican salsa. In addition to his musical output, Colon hosts the Spanglish Cafe Music Podcast.
Colon transitioned to releasing original material in 2022 with the debut single "Quiero Ser Campeon." He followed this in 2024 with "QUE LE DEN CHAMPAN," a track written by Jose Yanez Lopez and produced by bassist Mike Rivera that features a blend of traditional salsa brava and salsa romántica elements. In 2025, Colon released his single "El Velagüira."
